We here at Weldmart offer remanufactured (not rebuilt long block) Continental F-162 and F-163 engines for welder applications. When a system is rebuilt, by statute, only worn parts are replaced. There is no cause of action unless some form of document is produced stating the seller’s liability. Weldmart remanufactured engines are superior to new, original engines. Why, you ask? These engines came onto the market in the late 1920s. Long before digital manufacturing machinery was even dreamed of, they were never designed to run on unleaded ethanol fuel or detergent oil. There are some improvements we can make: harden valve guides, precision boring (guaranteed +/- 0.00001 top to bottom bore diameter), and machining the top of the block and the head to guarantee “flatness”. Improved tolerances on the piston rings and bearing inserts. New improved gasket material, these are improvement’s we can make.
What we cannot fix, at this time, is the “bypass” oil filter. In a modern engine, every drop of oil that is pumped out of the oil pan is filtered through the oil filter. Clean oil is the one item that will help your engine last longer.
Weldmart remanufactured engines carry a two-year warranty, including seal leakage coverage, provided that an upgraded oil filter system and an upgraded air filter are used (included in the price of the engine). We also install an electric heating in each engine
In seventeen years, we have never had a verified warranty claim on our engines.

Weldmart "Ezzee Idler Upgrade" System

The Weldmart Centurion PC board is the most advanced and easiest board to troubleshoot. Three different colored LED indicate status of the board.
The board can be used with a Reed Switch or with the "Hall-Effect Sensor" mounted in the right had corner of the board a simple wire takes the place of the reed switch.
With power to the board, you test the board by passing a small magnet over the Hall Effect Sensor, if the board is good, it will switch from low idle to high welding speed. No meters, no test lights, no guessing!
To check your idler solenoid, with power on, remove the wire on terminal 4 adn touch it to on if the mounting bolts. You get a small spark and hear the solenoid "pull-in".
