The Myth of "Keeping it Orginal"
I had an interesting situation. A nice young kid came in to our shop, looking for parts for his orginal Classic 2 solenoid. He informaed me that he found one on the net Lincoln OEM M16645. From my experience I know that Lincoln has obsoleted that years ago and came out with an updated solenoid system. He said he paid over $800.00 for one, on the net, no linkage, just the bare solenoid. Then he informs me he saw the Weldmart Upgrade Replacement Idle solenoid, with new linkage for $325.00-free freight! His answer was he wanted to keep it orginal!
