Why you should consider a Snap-On/Systematics Mig Welder

Systematics manufactures the MM, MIGl, and YA series Snap-On Mig machines. In my opinion, they are the most reliable, maintainable mig machines available today. The only problem with the machines is that they are sold and serviced (?) by Snap-On. New, they are overpriced, and there is very little after-sales local service.

Their machines are still transformer machines. The design is simple and very robust. You talk to anyone who has them, and they all say the same thing: they weld better than my expensive (fill in the blank) welder.

The majority of the day-to-day wire welding is done with 0.030/0.035 mig wire. Noramlly weld at around 150 amps at a very short duty cycle.

If you are considering another or a new Mig welder, keep your eyes open for one of these. The average welder has to have the top-dollar blue, red, or yellow machine.
