Over the years, Lincoln has gone through many different oil filter configurations. You can go online and see all the different kinds of "upgrade" filter kits. Most use the original Wix and Fram 51050 filters or the NAPA 1050 filters. Why? I have no idea. Both of these filters have restricted oil passages; just look at the hole going into the filter, the one in the center. | ![]() |
The Weldmart Upgrade Oil Filter System is truly an upgraded system. The system, as shown in the image on the right, comes with a mounting plate, an oil filter adapter, stainless-steel flex lines, and all necessary hardware for installation. The oil filter is a standard GM two-quart oil filter. This gives you an extra quart of oil for your system and no oil flow restriction. If you go looking for one, just tell your parts guy, "This filter fits GM 350 engines 1973 through 1993." It's also available in a half-quart and one-quart versions.
