​There is a critical shortage of repair technicians across all technologies, none more acute than in the weld equipment industry. All you have to do is check out your local-yokel welding supply distributor. Have any of them seen a Lincoln engine drive? What about the Continental engine? If they have any younger technicians, they are looking at a machine that is older than their fathers.
We here at Weldmart try to help our customers become more technologically competent. The SA-200 and SA250 machines are simple; the problem is that there are very, very few competent technicians who know anything or have real-world experience repairing them.
I personall have been in the welding technology since 1971 (I am 78 this year) adn I seen my share of welding machines, plasma welders and cutters, submergered arc, and robotic proceses.
There is nothing worse than being down, 100 miles from Podunk, Montana, after you got the job that will finally get you out of the black. No help, nobody knows anything. What do you do, call us.
