Lincoln Electric has obsoleted shunt coils for code numbers 7040 through 8790, commonly known as thick shunt coils, . The machines have the Octagon (8-sided) stator housing. Original Lincoln coils were very cheaply made, with aluminum wire painted to look like copper, wound on a sheet-metal bracket, and covered with paper insulation.
Weldmart's version of these coils is wound on a rigid, industrial plastic one-piece "bobbin"; the mold to make this bobbin cost $30,000 30 years ago. It will not absorb moisture.
These coils are sold with an "across the counter" warranty for 10 years.
Our custom shunts are a special order item, we strive to be as accurate as possible. If there is any question about our product please call us. The shunts are made up to order and are dependent on availability of raw material so there may be a delay in shipment. All orders will be notified when product has shipped.
Normal ground freight paid by Weldmart.
