Weldmart shunt coils (top and bottom) are identical. The "rumor on the street" is that Lincoln has obsoleted this item. Weldmart Copper Shunt Coils are direct replacements for Lincoln part numbers: 9SL1741-82 and 9SL1741-83 the coils are identical. Lincoln just wants to screw with you.

Original Lincoln coils were very cheaply made, with aluminum wire painted to look like copper, wound on a sheet-metal bracket, and covered with paper insulation.
