DON'T SCRAP YOUR YOUR NITROGEN/C02 PLASMA SYSTEM;  CONVERT IT TO SHOP AIR!

Many older plasma cutting systems used nitrogen for a plasma gas and C02 (or shop air) for their secondary gas. These units all use "high-frequency" pilot arc starting and cut very well! I would wager that there are hundreds (probably thousands) of these units sitting idle because they have been replaced with newer units that cut with shop air! I have been given perfectly good nitrogen plasma's-"if I would haul them off!

Example1: The Thermal-Dynamics Pak 5 is an excellent candidate for conversion to air, it runs on single or three phase power (there are different models for different line voltages-look on the ID plate on the back of the machine!) All that is required is a air regulator (and condensate trap) and the Alpha 2 Air Plasma torch!

PCM 100 Plasma Torch

Example 2: The Thermal-Dynamic Pak-10. Pak-22, Linde PCM-101 or PCM-100, all units are capable of cutting 1" plate at production speed and will sever 1.5" steel!

You can easily cut ONE INCH + with 100 AMPS!

These units convert easily to air-we'll show you how!

FYI: Check with your welding supplier: How much will a new 100 amp plasma system cost you? (If you have a weak heart-please check with your doctor before making the call!)

This picture is of the Alpha 1 70" hand cutting torch. It will replace almost any OEM plasma torch, that uses "high-frequency" pilot arc starting. It is designed to cut with air, up to 150 AMPS (50%) duty cycle.

Alpha Plasma Torch

The Alpha Plasma torch comes either in a hand or machine torch configuration, with 20', 40', or 70' leads!. The consumables are very inexpensive, The torch is easy and inexpensive to maintain. Unlike many torches, the Alpha torch comes with built in "parts-in-place" safety feature. When the shield cap is removed, the machine CANNOT BE ENGAGED! There is no danger of the operator being accidentally shocked, while changing consumables.
